Contore Tours and Travel (Pty) Ltd, hereafter referred to as ‘Contore Tours’
and
The individual customer, hereafter referred to as ‘you’.

1. BOOKING AND PAYMENT
A booking is only made by receipt of a non-refundable deposit of R5 000.00 (FIVE THOUSAND RAND) and the issuing of a booking confirmation.
Contore Tours reserves the right to return your deposit and decline to issue a booking confirmation at our absolute discretion.
The balance of the cost of the tour is due no less than 60 days before the scheduled departure date.
Failing to pay the balance in full and on time will result in the cancellation of the booking.

2. MEDICAL AND TRAVEL INSURANCE
It is required that you take out adequate and suitable travel and medical insurance in order to take part in any Contore Tours tours.
You are solely responsible for arranging your own insurance. Contore Tours can provide you with the necessary travel and medical insurance on request.
Contore Tours reserves the right to request a copy of your insurance policy and/or receipt showing payment of said insurance.
A suitable medical insurance should provide adequate cover for medical expenses arising through illness or accident prior to or during the tour.

3. AGE AND FITNESS
All persons qualifying to take part in the tours must be between the ages of 18 and 65 years old.
All persons older than 65 years are required to provide a medical certificate no older than 21 days declaring them fit and able to partake in the tour. This certificate must be provided within 14 days of payment of the deposit.
No children under the age of 13 will be allowed on any tours. All children between the ages of 14 and 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
On most tours there is a fair amount of walking and step climbing to be done. Some days will require up to 7km of walking. In the event of severe delays encountered due to the fact that a person is unable to keep up with the group, Contore Tours reserves the right to end or modify the tour of that particular individual.
In the event of a cancelled or modified tour due to the abovementioned reason, all monies paid to Contore Tours will be forfeited and no reimbursements will be done.

4. PASSPORT AND VISA
It is your responsibility to check and fulfil the passport, visa, health and immigration requirements applicable to your itinerary.
We will provide all documentation required of Contore Tours and assist you with any queries. We do not accept any responsibility if you cannot travel or incur any other loss due to any passport or visa requirements not met by you.
You must check the requirements for your own specific circumstances with the relevant Embassies or Consulates.
You will be solely responsible for any cost, loss or damage which you incur as a result of a failure to obtain all necessary passports or visas.
You agree to reimburse Contore Tours in relation to any fines or other losses which we incur as a result of your failure to comply with any passport or visa requirements.

5. LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS
You are obligated to obey the laws and regulations specific to the country/countries visited during the tour. Any failure to do so may relieve Contore Tours of all obligations that we may otherwise have towards you.
If you are found in possession of any contraband or illegal substance(s), any/all obligations that Contore Tours has towards you as well as our contract with you will be cancelled with immediate effect.

59 – 31 days before departure – Full amount already paid for tour
30 days or less before departure – Full amount of tour
Your notice of cancellation will take effect when it is received in writing by us and will be effective from the date on which we receive it.

7. SINGLE SUPPLIMENT AND ROOMPLACING
The option for single room placing is available and can be arranged if requested. An additional cost (single supplement fee) will be incurred. Single supplement fees vary from tour to tour. Please communicate with your tour co-ordinator regarding the cost and availability.
If you travel alone or in an odd numbered party and you do not want to incur the single supplement fee, you may request to be placed in a room with another tour member. We can arrange for such shared room placements, where available. However, if a suitable match cannot be found, you will be placed in a single room and the single supplement fee will apply.

8. AIRLINE AND BUS SEAT PLACINGS
All special requests by tour members regarding any seating arrangements will be conveyed to the relevant carrier. However, the final seat placing will be done solely by the relevant carrier and Contore Tours cannot take any responsibility if it is not to individual preferences.

9. BREAKAWAY FROM PLANNED TOUR BY INDIVUDUAL TOUR MEMBERS
If you require to break away from the main tour group, you may do so at an additional cost.
This option is only offered by certain airlines. Please communicate with your tour co-ordinator whether the option is available on your tour.
All other personal travel arrangements, flight arrangements, travel insurance, documentation, visas, hotels or accommodation arrangements will be your sole responsibility. You will be required to pay for all costs incurred due to the breakaway.
